For children ages 9-13
Social skills are crucial to making friends and relating well to peers in school and in life. Prosocial skills instruction is an effective way to teach children/ adolescents positive, productive social behavior through a systematic approach. This group will focus on friendship-making skills, including handling rejection, self-awareness and self-control.
Fall Series
Four Group Sessions
Week 1- Building Friendships
Week 2- Self-Awareness
Week 3- Flexibility and Handling Rejection
Week 4- Self-Control
Instructional Approach: Model /Teaching Skill Child Role Playing/ Practice Performance Feedback using video-taping and playback
